Student Leadership

At Branksome Hall Asia, leadership is more than a role—it’s a journey that begins in Junior School and grows as students develop confidence, initiative, and a sense of responsibility. Leadership opportunities are woven into every stage of school life, culminating in the Grade 12 Prefect system, where students embody our values of care, collaboration, and excellence. Prefects serve as role models and mentors, guiding younger students and leading councils that represent the student body from Grades 6–12. These councils provide students with opportunities to develop essential skills in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork while contributing to the school community.

At the pinnacle of this leadership journey is the Head Girl, a Grade 12 student selected by peers for her ability to inspire, empower, and embody the Branksome Hall Asia values. Prefects and the Head Girl positively influence the school culture, serving as ambassadors of the Learner Profile and fostering a sense of care and collaboration throughout the community. Through these experiences, students are prepared to inspire others and make meaningful contributions beyond Branksome Hall Asia.

At Branksome Hall Asia, there are 14 councils, each dedicated to serving different areas of school life:
