House System

Clans

At Branksome Hall Asia, the concept of Clans, akin to the traditional House system found in many schools, is a cherished tradition inherited from our Scottish roots at Branksome Hall Canada. Clans bring students together for friendly competition and collaboration across grades. Whether supporting a charity or engaging in spirited games, these shared experiences foster a fun, supportive environment and build community spirit throughout our school.

For generations, Clans have provided a forum for friendly sporting competitions, charitable work, spirit-building, and the transmission of traditions. Being part of a Clan allows students to belong to a small, cross-grade group within the school community that promotes school spirit.

Every student and faculty member is part of a Clan, with placement influenced by family connections, such as a sibling's Clan or a related alum's Clan.

Each Clan has two leaders, Clan Chieftain and Deputy Chieftain, elected by its members to ensure student leadership and representation within the Clans. This structure supports a strong sense of community, continuity, and belonging throughout a student’s journey at Branksome Hall Asia.
