The JS Academic Enrichment Program was a Success!

Deputy Head of Junior School

As the school year comes to an end, so does the Junior School Academic Enrichment Program. We are so proud of the Grade 2-5 students (over 100 participated) who took part in some or all of the challenges this year. Throughout these academic challenges, the students demonstrated their qualities and abilities as risk-takers, communicators, inquirers, thinkers, knowledgeable learners, and showed their capacities to be reflective and balanced. The Junior School Academic Enrichment Program is offered outside of the core Junior School curriculum, and students worked tirelessly outside of school to prepare for these events and competitions.

The Junior School Academic Enrichment Program includes 6 components - the Spelling Bee, Speech Competition, 40 Book Challenge, Science Fair,  Maths Challenge, and for Grades 4-5, the Coding Challenge. While a large number of students took part in some of these challenges, some students took on all 6 components! These students will be recognized for their achievements.

We are already looking forward to next year’s Junior School Academic Enrichment Program.  Next year, similar challenges will be offered but some aspects of these will be refined and improved. Stay tuned for more information at the start of the 2021-2022 school year. We hope that more students will join next year!
