Support for Sustainable Progress Across Campus

The Sustainability Council is designed to help Branksome Hall Asia develop sustainable practices and facilities through the education of our students. This Council consists of a Prefect and grade representatives from Grades 6 to 12 to ensure that various and representative student voices are included. We recognize and raise awareness about the importance of living a sustainable life and the value of co-existence through multiple initiatives as future global leaders. We also look beyond the school’s walls for opportunities to positively impact the environment both on Jeju and beyond by making significant efforts to change school practices, and care for biodiversity while promoting health, sanitation, science, and technology.

The Sustainability Council has been calling for changes at Branksome Hall Asia by negotiating and proposing multiple initiatives. For example, in order to reduce plastic consumption on campus, we are working on a proposal to implement a sustainable umbrella dryer to replace the existing conventional vinyl umbrella covers on campus. We are also proposing the need to place bird protection decals on the windows to reduce bird crashes and fatalities as we recognize the importance of co-existence.

Furthermore, we are promoting change in our energy source by initiating a solar panel project. We encourage you to support and join our sustainable progress!
