Support Continues as Boarding Students Return to Campus

By Mindi Dryer, Head of Boarding

Grade Level Coordinators visit our Boarding Houses after school.

Although our Boarding Houses have been closed and reopened multiple times due to COVID-19, the support from the Branksome Hall Asia Faculty has not ceased. Most recently, the Boarding Faculty coordinated with the Grade Level Coordinators to provide additional support upon recent arrivals for our boarding students. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about upcoming academic assessments, changes to general daily life and reconnect with the Faculty before returning to face-to-face classes.

Each GLC visited the Boarding House and did informal check-ins to provide support not only in their academic subjects, but also for their social and emotional needs. These sessions were supported by the Boarding Faculty who have made regular phone calls, chats and zoom sessions with each individual student while they were studying at home. While the students are excited to be back on campus, there are some changes that will take some time to adjust to as we fully open again.

As always, the partnership between our day school and boarding school remains strong and we look forward to more opportunities to collaborate and support the overall well-being of our students.
