The Athletics Council aims to promote sports academics for students' athletic well-being, including making a balance between academics and sports. We collaborate with the athletics directors to share responsibilities that include organizing athletics events and intramural sports. The council also reviews the current co-curricular athletics programs and evaluates applications for new athletics offerings. Every year, the Athletics Council collaborates with others in the school community through events. Specifically, we have been collaborating with the Clan Council on events that include the ‘Terry Fox run’,  ‘Clan Swimming’ and ‘Sports day.’

Our council also has been working on an independent award called the ‘Bobo Bear Award’. This award is given from the Athletics Council to those who have done well within the area of sports. Through this award, we aim to encourage the participation of individual students.

Sports Day is an all-time favorite and one of the biggest athletics events in the entire Branksome Hall Asia community. This event happens annually a little before the summer break. The main purpose of Sports Day is not only to finalize the clan points and decide which clan placed within each rank, but also to finish the school year with exciting sports events with whole school participation. Through this event, students and faculty get to come together and collaborate to win points for their clans. This is also when the members of the Branksome Hall Asia community could make pleasing memories by wearing matching clothes with friends, working to break other clans/student records, or play sports for the entire day. Nonetheless, the biggest advantage about this event is that students are encouraged to stay active and discover the sportsmanship that was hidden behind academics.
