Principal's Letter 2020.01.09

Dear Branksome Hall Asia Community,

Happy New Year! I wish you and your family a most wonderful new year, filled with joy and health!

As we ring in the new year, Branksome Hall Asia students are busy finishing up with Semester 1. During the course of next week, our students in Grade 6 through 11 will be engaging with a series of interdisciplinary units (IDU) in their respective classrooms before they leave to celebrate the Lunar New Year at the end of the semester.

The IDU is a crucial part of our curriculum that truly captures an important dimension of Branksome Hall Asia’s well-rounded education. During this time, our students will outline what they have learned throughout the first semester and will demonstrate their problem-solving capabilities through thorough research, collaboration with peers, and presentation of their work. I am very much looking forward to seeing how our students showcase their learning as leaders of tomorrow.

We are also receiving good news of early university acceptances. Many of our students have been accepted to top universities around the world, and the list of acceptances are growing fast. I am extremely proud of their achievements, especially because the results also signify the hard work they have invested.

In addition, there are many exciting activities planned for the remainder of the semester that include a visit from Miss Porter’s School, a prominent girls' school in Connecticut, US, and the Spirit Week when several fun activities will take place. Please join us in supporting our students to celebrate their learning and accomplishments.

See you at school,

Dr. Cinde Lock
