Plaid Tidings Returns to Branksome Hall Asia

Ms. Frances Lond-Caulk,
Head of Junior School

Saturday, December 3rd, marked such an important day in the Branksome Hall Asia calendar. For the first time since Covid restrictions and the first time since December 2019, we were able to hold Plaid Tidings, our Winter Fair on campus. The fair is a tradition that began in our sister school in Toronto.

For months, the Friends of Branksome team worked hand in hand with the school to plan for the event. Many of the team had never attended Plaid Tidings in the past, so we asked lots of questions of people who had been part of the community before 2019.

We were beyond thrilled with the results of the day. Over 3,000 attended the event, there was an exciting range of vendors, activities for students to participate in, and delicious food to be eaten. Throughout the afternoon, there were cries of happiness as people won great prizes and of children enjoying being with their families and friends at school at a fun event.

We were so very proud of the performances on the day. All tastes were catered for, whether people wanted to hear classical music, live singing, a brass band, or to see a taster for the musical Annie, there was a great variety. What incredible skills our community has!

The money raised at the event will directly support student learning experiences through the purchase of exciting resources to support the school. Thank you all so much for coming to Plaid Tidings, and to many of you for your hard work.
