BHA Students Accepted to a Silicon Valley Startup!

We are excited to share that our Senior School students Juhyun Sung (G11) and Daeun Kim(G10), who participated in a camp last year in China for Extended Reality were accepted into a Silicon Valley based student startup. The camp is supported by Applied Computing Foundation, an organization that we’ve recently partnered with.

They will be a part of a startup team with two other high school students and will work with professional mentors from successful technology companies and universities in California to develop their own VR product.

Of many wonderful attributes Juhyun and Daeun showed during their interview process, their ability to see things with passion towards solving social issues and interest in exploring new areas scored high during the interview. Some of the things they have accomplished while at BHA:  developing an electricity-generating chair via a dynamo after a hackathon, working on projects combating environmental abuse and ocean pollution, and exploring the engineering aspect of their Robotics club.
