New Experiments in an All-New Greenhouse

New Experiments in our All-New Greenhouse

In 2019-20 the Branksome Hall Asia PTA allocated a specific amount of money to be used to build a permanent greenhouse structure in the sustainable garden. Previous aluminum structures had consistently been damaged by the annual typhoons. The new wooden structure was built by Mr. Gasparini and a group of volunteer teachers over the summer break. The purpose of the greenhouse was to allow students to complete long term experiments that focus on the growth of plants and the various factors that influence productivity and sustainability of food resources.  Currently the Environmental Systems and Societies students are completing their diploma program internal assessments and two have chosen to use the greenhouse space for their experiments. Here are pictures of Dabin Kim and Inhye Lee setting up their experiments inside the greenhouse.
