 Junior School Leaders 2022-2023

Tara Farr,
G5 Teacher

Just a few short weeks ago, many students in Grades 3-5 became risk-takers, standing in front of their classmates delivering original student council speeches about their leadership qualities and why they wished to represent their class and school. The speeches this year were absolutely amazing and unique!

Twelve students were elected by their classmates and will begin collaborating on ideas and school events that will impact the school community. This year, the Prefects, “Junior School Council,” will also be working closely alongside the Junior School students to help guide them in aspects of service.

Junior School representatives will gain a better understanding of service and why it is such an important part of our curriculum.  They will lead meaningful activities, develop a deeper sense of responsibility, and interpret student perspectives and opinions, as well as hosting some fun events, such as the Junior School Halloween Parade.

This year’s representatives from Grade 3 are, Suah Choi, Jayee Kim, Yubeen Lee, and Dana Kim. Grade 4 representatives are Jion Lee, Stella Koo, Jiwoo Kong, and Yeonwoo Park. Students representing the Grade 5 classes are; Gyeongyeon Kang, Choyeon Kim, Ara Lee, and Heeyeun Cho. Congratulations to all the students who participated, and to the twelve that will be our new Junior School Leaders.
