Introducing Bobby Reed, Our New Director of Athletics

It is with great enthusiasm that we introduce Bobby Reed as our new Director of Athletics. Hailing from Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, Bobby brings a wealth of experience and a passion for excellence to our school community. He has been in Korea for 9 years building the athletic program at Chadwick International School.

Bobby's journey is marked by his deep commitment to sports and education. He holds a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education & Social Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia, Canada. Notably, Bobby's athletic expertise extends to his time playing University Hockey at St. Francis Xavier University, where he clinched a National Championship. He further honed his skills professionally, boasting a decade-long career in hockey, including attending NHL training camps with esteemed teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks, and Carolina Hurricanes.

Bobby will be joining us with his wife, April, hailing from North Carolina, and their delightful 18-month-old son, Samuel.

As Bobby embarks on this new chapter with us, he expresses his excitement to embrace the Branksome Hall Asia community and the vibrant life of Jeju Island. He brings with him a profound dedication to fostering a culture of excellence, characterized by the values of Pride, Passion, and People. Bobby's vision for our Athletics Department is ambitious—to cultivate the Bears Program of Excellence at BHA into one of the most robust and enriching athletic environments, not only in Asia but globally.

Join us in extending a warm welcome to Bobby Reed as we embark on this journey together. Together, let us cheer on the Bears as we strive for greatness!

Go Bears Go!
