HEAD OF SCHOOL'S MESSAGE

Dear BHA Community,

We’ve had an exciting start to the school year, and the energy and enthusiasm in our classrooms are truly inspiring. It’s wonderful to see our students actively participating in a variety of school activities, from sports to the arts. Just recently, I walked through the Performing Arts Center and was impressed by the orchestra’s rehearsal. Despite just beginning to learn a new piece, their skill level was remarkable. Moments like these fill us with pride in our students’ dedication and talent.

The Junior School has been bustling with the Clan Chieftain, Student Council, and Eco-Warriors elections. This year, we’re committed to fostering excellence across all our programs. As a result, we’ve increased practice times, games, tournaments, and performances. Our students have been eagerly auditioning for productions and trying out for various sports and activities. We’re excited about the growing opportunities available to them, and we’re proud of the resilience and skills they’re developing.

We’re also thrilled to announce the expansion of our Boarding program, which now includes boys. It’s been wonderful to see the boys thriving in this environment. The program has evolved to better support all our students in achieving excellence. We now offer a Boarding Academy, where professional Boarding Dons provide specialized tutoring in various subjects. Additionally, our boarding students have access to social-emotional counselors throughout the week for guidance and support.

It was a pleasure to see so many of our parents on campus for the Middle and Senior School ‘Meet the Teachers’ event. Research consistently shows that students excel when there is a strong partnership between students, teachers, and parents. I encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns. This direct communication is the best way to get accurate information and learn how you can support your child at home. We are eager to strengthen our relationship with you.

Our Parent Association and Friends of Branksome have resumed activities, and I encourage you to get involved. Please watch for more information on how you can participate and connect with other parents in our community.

I am honored to lead Branksome Hall Asia and work with you to achieve academic excellence for your children.

Sincerely,
Dr. Blair Lee
