Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope you have enjoyed a well-deserved break and are looking forward to the wonderful journey that unfolds before us as we move into 2021.

During this first week back to school our students have been reintroduced to their classes through a hybrid of online and face-to-face learning that aligns with POE and KCDC requirements. I have been amazed at how flexible and dedicated our faculty teachers, parents and students are as we adopt this new learning schedule. It has been a smooth transition and it has been so nice to see the resilient and positive smiles of our young learners.

Keeping our student, parent, and staff community safe is our first priority. The POE came to conduct a full inspection of the school this week and to review our adherence to our safety protocols. They were very pleased with our practices and said that they were most impressed with the way that we set up the cafeteria and eating arrangements to ensure the safety of all. For example, acrylic dividers were installed between the dining tables in the cafeteria to ensure greater safety.

At the same time, we are very aware of our commitment to student learning and are proceeding to implement programs related to our adopted year long goals, to advance student oracy in English and to ensure that learning is connected with real life experiences that inspire students to shape a better world.

I am excited to see our students learning, collaborating together, and asking questions in class and I am looking forward to walking beside all of you as we support our young learners to achieve their best as they move toward their roles as empowered leaders and forces for positive change in Korea and on the world stage.

Welcome back to school.
