Friends of Sagye

Friends of Sagye raised 600,000 KRW by participating in a local event on Jeju Island - Andeok-Myeon Sports Festival - and interacting with Jeju’s local community. Friends of Sagye then donated 600,000 KRW to a non-governmental organization, “Hot Pink Dolphins,” to support the organization’s efforts to rescue a dolphin named Jong-dal (종달이) and free the dolphins trapped in Geoje Sea World.

In effect of the Caresea Program, Branksome Hall Asia has been appointed by the Korean Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries as the official adopter of Jeju’s Sagye Beach in October 2023. Ever since, Friends of Sagye - the group in charge of the initiative - has been caring for Sagye Beach and connecting with Jeju’s local community along the coastal region.Friends of Sagye will continue to lead projects that contribute to nature and the people of Jeju Island.
