Branksome Hall Asia is embarking on an ambitious project to write a new musical based on the legend of Mu Lan.

The script will be written by the students and dialogue will be in three languages, in the hope that the performance will be accessible to everyone in our community. Original music is also being composed by our very talented children!

I would like to use this newsletter article as an opportunity to invite you to join us creatively in this very exciting project.

Do you have any experience in traditional performing arts, specifically Chinese drumming or Korean Nanta style drumming? Alternatively, do you have knowledge of Chinese traditional dance or Martial Arts?

Our costume team would also love help from designers or anyone good with a sewing machine. If you think you have any skills or talents that you think might help us make this show, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.

Yours in hope and art making,
