Cherishing our Success and Relationships with Boarding Families

As the Branksome Hall Asia students are finishing their exams and packing up their rooms, we look back at all of the events and celebrations we have experienced in Boarding during the 2020 - 2021 school year. There have been so many memorable moments of laughter, late-night snacks, movie nights, cooking, and games. The students experienced new CASE activities or went to a museum for the first time or enjoyed the sunshine at a beach cafe. Students explored nature, discovered their artistic side through water colors or even learned a new language. Some students even enjoyed the Boarding life during holiday breaks during our special programs when school wasn’t in session.
The Teacher Dons supported the students throughout the year, but also discovered the beauty of Jeju and had many of their own first-time experiences as well. As foreigners to Korea, they were greeted with a warm welcome, just 10 short months ago. The journey to explore new foods, a new language and a new community was shared among the Dons and our lovely students. We welcomed many new international students this year, who found a love for Korean food, Korean culture and Branksome Hall Asia’s beautiful campus, which is always buzzing with excitement. We watched as our girls excelled in business competitions, performed on stage or competed in sports. It’s a true honor to see the students succeed and build relationships throughout the year.
As we say goodbye to some of our friends and teachers this June, we also know that many new and exciting adventures are waiting for each of us as we move forward. These adventures may begin in the summer or as we return to classes in August or as they move to a new country, on a new campus at their University for our recently graduated Grade 12’s. Some people are unsure of their next path, but we are sure that we are ready for anything after so many experiences at Branksome Hall Asia.
Our girls are building meaningful connections and relationships at Branksome Hall Asia, especially within our Boarding Families. We wish all of our families a happy and healthy summer break. We look forward to reconnecting in August!
