Plaid Tidings
Plaid Tidings
December 3, 2022, 12 - 3 pm
Plaid Tidings is one of our biggest community events, introduced by a former teacher Angela Lau back in 2014, who was also a student of Branksome Hall Canada where it originated from. In the past, a lot of support has been provided by not only parents but also staff, faculty and students.
This year, we are especially grateful to resume the special event after a 3 year of hiatus due to the pandemic. It is also meaningful that our parents of Friends of Branksome are leading this special event.
Traditionally, the funds raised from a serial of Plaid Tidings supported Moseulpo Children Center under BHA Oulim Project (2015), VEX robotics, JS Class Library Support (2016), a student international service project “Paradigm (2017) and many other initiatives at Branksome Hall Asia.
We are excited to once again resume Plaid Tidings, and hope it is a fun and enjoyable event where everyone can celebrate with family and friends.
Branksome Hall Asia is very grateful for the continued support of our parents and the school community.
Service Fair
Service Fair
Introduction
Branksome Hall Asia is the only all IB World international school on Jeju Island, with a mission to ‘challenge and inspire students to love learning and to shape a better world’. We believe that this can only be truly achieved through Service.
Branksome Hall Asia’s signature Service Learning program educates students about effective and meaningful service using the Cathryn Berger Service Learning method. Student-led initiatives are encouraged and supported through supervision, and we are very proud of the positive impact our students are having within our local, national and international communities.
We know that amazing initiatives are happening in your school too and understand the impact that like-minded individuals can have when they work together. Therefore, we warmly invite you to come and ‘celebrate and collaborate’ with us, on the service initiatives that you have individually innovated, in our annual Service Fair.
Our Service Fair will provide students in schools all over South Korea with a chance to meet other like-minded students and NGO’s that can help take their Service projects and/or initiatives to the next level. Come and join us!
