Service and Enrichment

We challenge our students to develop new skills, to learn more about themselves, and to make a difference in the communities in which they live and learn.

This focus and encouragement towards a holistic education is delivered through various clubs and activities (outside of the classroom) and grade-specific advisory activities (inside the classroom) under the following programs:

Experiential learning:
Our classrooms are a foundation for learning giving our students tools to build on. Hands-on learning experiences outside of the classroom solidify the concepts that have been taught in the classroom.

Active engagement:
Students are given the means to enhance social interaction, leadership and self confidence.

Global outlook:
We focus on the questions of perception rather than the specifics of geography or language by exploring multiple ways knowledge can be combined, comprehended and applied in our world.

Local and global community service:
Taking on the roles within community organizations as collaborators and mentors, our students gain exposure and learn about various disparities locally and globally. These experiences enable crucial communication, organization and teamwork skills.

The various clubs and activities offered are:

  • Leadership Development
  • Public Speaking
  • Peer Support

Baikgoo Hwangoo, an animal welfare club, is led by our Grade 11 Seokyoung Yang and Jung Kim to help stray animals to go through cold winter. They made first video about Mrs.Gasparini rescuing a dog from dog meat market.
Hope, this can raise animal rights within Branksome Hall Asia community.

The Branksome Hall Asia Empty Bowl event

2017 Branksome Hall Asia Empty Bowl event is back.
By making a bowl and sharing a home cooked meal, the Branksome Hall Asia community can make a meaningful contribution to ensuring that no one in our local community goes hungry.

The Branksome Hall Asia Ejaad Service Learning Club

The Branksome Hall Asia Ejaad Service Learning Club works in partnership with a group of women in Afghanistan who create beautifully hand-stitched purses and bags. On Thursday 19th, they held a sale in the Middle School Pod to raise money for the women of Ejaad in Afghanistan and the purchase of more materials. Well done to the fabulous girls who organized the event and to all who came to support us.
