Michael comes to us from Canada and is an experienced administrator who possesses 14 years of experience. Internationally, Michael worked in Bahrain and was MYP Coordinator at Frankfurt International School. Through his support, students find an advocate as well as the courage and strength to continue to meet their educational goals.

Frances has worked for 26 years in international schools in China, Mexico and Thailand, in addition to teaching the United Kingdom. As the Director of Learning Technologies at Branksome Hall Asia, Terry is responsible for IT integration, design, and execution of technology pedagogy as well as Branksome Hall Asia's online learning program. Terry was invited to be an expert panelist at BETT in London, and also has been invited to be a speaker and writer of online learning articles for BETT Asia. Terry has also published a research paper on online learning in the International Schools Journal. Terry joined Branksome Hall Asia in 2016 after spending 3 years at NLCS Jeju as the Head of Computer Science. Prior to living in Korea, Terry was Curriculum Leader for Mathematics and ICT at the British International School Riyadh. Terry is an IB exam paper author, principal examiner, curriculum reviewer,
internal assessment team leader, and extended essay team leader for the International Baccalaureate Computer Science diploma program.

Biography
Sarah is joining as a brand new International teacher from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Although this is her first experience teaching internationally, she brings with her 4 years of experience as a Preschool teacher. Born and raised in Minneapolis, she received her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. This is where she fostered her teaching philosophy of play-based learning. Sarah then moved to Michigan to complete her Masters in Elementary Education and receive her teaching certificate. She taught for 4 years in the inner-city of Grand Rapids, Michigan where she facilitated social-emotional growth and academic skills through play-based learning and differentiation. During her last year of teaching in Michigan, Sarah was able to work at an IB school where she had the opportunity to learn about and facilitate PYP learning in the classroom. Marylou is from the Golden State of California and is joining Branksome Hall Asia as a Kindergarten teacher. She has over eight years of teaching experience and holds a master's degree in education. Her career in education began in Boulder, Colorado before she decided to teach internationally. Since then her adventurous spirit has taken her to teach in Honduras, China, and in Mali. One of the many things Marylou enjoys about being a teacher is witnessing those moments where her students are curious and completely engaged in the task at hand. When she is not in the classroom, Marylou enjoys exploring nature, coaching soccer, and trying new things. She is looking forward to getting to know her Kindergarteners and their families this school year as well as exploring the beautiful island of Jeju.

A Canadian hailing from Toronto where she graduated from Branksome Hall in 2009, Raisa joins Branksome Hall Asia as an experienced international educator with 7 years spent in Central and South America. Beginning her career teaching grade 2 in Honduras and moving upwards through the grades to teach MYP in Mexico and Ecuador, Raisa will now be tackling the challenge of grade 5 and helping to prepare her students for their transition from PYP to MYP. Raisa's certifications range from kindergarten to grade 10, she is currently completing a Masters of Education candidate with conferral expected at the end of August. Raisa is passionate about literacy and language aquisition as well as developing a curiosity about the world around us, especially in regards to the humanities such as geography and history. Faye is an expert Chinese language and literature teacher with over 25 years of teaching experience. Faye also served as a lecturer in language teaching methodology at the University of Melbourne. Faye receives her B.A. from China, her Graduate Diploma in Education and her Master of Education from Australia. Faye’s to-be-completed Ph.D. research focuses on Chinese Literature Education.

He also currently serves as an IB examiner and curriculum reviewer for DP History. He has authored two study and revision guides for DP History published by Hodder Education. Biography
Mindi is the Head of Boarding at Branksome Hall Asia. She holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State University. She has been teaching in international schools for 11 years, while living in Seoul, Alexandria, Beijing & Guangzhou, where she has served as the Athletic Director and Head of the Physical Education & Health Department. She was also Head of Grade 12 and brings valuable experiences in pastoral care.

Biography
Mariana joins us with vast experience in counseling especially with middle and senior school aged students. She joins us from New York City Department of Education, where she had the role of G 6-8 School Counselor at the School of Finance and Technology. Mariana is fluent in English and Spanish and holds a Master of Arts in Bilingual School Counseling from New York University.

Biography
Catherine joins us as Head of House with almost a decade of teaching, leadership and counseling experience at the middle school level in Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in French and English literature, a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, all from the University of Victoria, Canada. She is fluent in both English and French. Catherine is also a yoga and meditation (mindfulness) teacher.
Kim, Yu Kyung - Head of House - Ainslie

Biography
Yu Kyung Kim is originally from Seoul, South Korea. She studied many years in England and the United States of America. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology and a Masters in Teaching Secondary English Language Arts. As a Korean with significant cross-cultural life and educational experiences, Yu Kyung is passionate about international education and helping students shape and build their own identity.

Biography
Minnie attended an IB international school and knows the IB program well. She has studied many languages, including Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese. Minnie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Korean Studies from the University of Hong Kong and is due to receive her Master’s degree in Marketing at the end of 2020.
Jue, Kara - Teacher Don

Biography
Kara Jue joins us from San Marcos, Texas, she is a licensed teacher and holds a Bachelors of Health Sciences from Texas A&M- Corpus Christi. Kara has been working at Branksome Hall Asia since 2019. She is the Lead don in Sherborne House and also the Head Swim academy coach. Kara has been a swim coach since 2014 and has also worked with the National Hispanic Institute since 2011, working with first generation college bound high school students. She is passionate about water safety and creating healthy communities.

Biography
Sekholu grew up in north east of Nagaland, India. She is experienced as a supervisor in a boarding school India, as well as barista and teaching the children in various churches as a Sunday school teacher working with middle and high school students from various background, teaching ethics and social sciences on weekly basis.

As an alumnae of Branksome Hall Asia, she is passionate to bring her experience from Branksome Hall Asia as well as other countries. She is excited to return to Jeju and join the Branksome's Boarding family this year.
Kim, HyunJung - Teacher Don

Biography
Hyunjung joins us from Seoul, where she co-founded sustainable healthcare product startup. Hyunjung was born in Korea and attended fashion school ESMOD in Paris graduating in Korea. Hyunjung designed and taught UN SDG social innovation program to university students from Korea and Southeast Asia region for many years. Prior to that, she pioneered school in the Indian slum specially for women and children from under-privileged background. She lived and worked in 4 countries on 3 continents including France, Singapore, Madagascar and India.
Moon, Alice - Teacher Don

Alice was born and raised in Korea but moved to Kingston, Canada to pursue her university education. She graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors). She is interested in teaching and mentoring younger students. As an alumnae of the class of 2015 of Branksome Hall Asia - the first graduating class - she is very excited to return and share her experience. Alice was a student prefect and actively participated in numerous activities including stage band and swimming. She is keen to support students with their academics, extra-curricular and personal concerns.

She is currently pursuing a Master of education degree in Teaching and Learning.

Meyer, Kelcie - Teacher Don

Biography
Kelcie is originally from Los Angeles, California but spent her college years in Northern California at the University of California - Santa Cruz (home to the banana slug mascot), earning her Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in education. She joins us after spending six years in the Northeast region of the United States, working at an outdoor education facility and residential summer camp. It was there that she developed her skills as a facilitator, guiding groups of youth of all ages through an experiential learning experience based in outdoor recreation. Kelcie is excited to continue to be working and living in a community that is growth focused and helps each student become the best versions of themselves.
Aldrich, Caroline - Teacher Don

Biography
Caroline is from Iowa, USA where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with emphases in reading, mathematics, and learning technologies. She joins Branksome Hall Asia with experience as a technology integrationist for a rural school district where she worked with classroom teachers to incorporate robotics, coding, and engineering design into their lessons. Previously, she worked as a summer intern for the USA Department of Defense programming activities for students aged 5-10 in Okinawa, Japan. She highly values service to others and was a part of an executive team that raised over $330,000 for a children’s hospital while in university. Caroline is very excited to get involved with the CASE program at BHA!
Signs, Hayley - Teacher Don

Biography
Hayley is from the state of Iowa, USA where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with accompanying specialties in special education, early intervention, and elementary art education. During her time at Iowa State University, Hayley worked as an achademic mentor to first year students and served as a Facility Management Directory to a off-campus organization. She joins Branksome Hall Asia having worked as an intern for the United States Department of Defense where she served as a lead teacher and activities director. During her time as an intern, she worked at many different sites including Germany, Japan, and Hawaii creating fun and educational activities, planning field trips, and events for all ages. She is passionate about art and serving others and is excited to share her expierences and skills as a Don where she hopes to inspire others to be life-long learners and advocates!

Daisy is from China. She is a certified English teacher with 8 years of experience in EFL teaching (middle school and high school). She is knowledgeable of English Language Arts standards, IB teaching principles, up-to-date teaching strategies and assessment systems. She was also responsible for the pastoral care of Middle school students in her previous school, which is an IB school. She monitored students’ academic progress by providing support classes and implementing effective application of ATL Skills and students’ social interactions with peers and emotional and personal dispositions.

Eunsol has worked with children from 3 to 16 years olds teaching ESL and TOEFL for 5 years. She lived on 4 continents and has working experience in Sydney, Jerusalem, and Bundang. She also taught English and mentored children from low-income families in Siem Reap and Seoul. She has traveled 40 countries and counting and is excited to share her little seed of wanderlust and appreciation of cultures and diversities. She is passionate about empowering girls and part-taking in achieving gender equality.
