Biography

Cinde is the Principal at Branksome Hall Asia.

She has been a teacher and administrator in Canada, and in

International Schools in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt,

Trinidad and Tobago, and Korea.She has extensive knowledge

of the IB and has served as both MYP and DP coordinator.With

28 years of experience in education, Cinde remains passionate

about students and their learning.











Young, Noeline

Biography

Noeline is a foundation faculty member of Branksome Hall Asia and

was previously Head of Residence and Head of Student Affairs.

She also held leadership positions as Vice Principal of Discovery

College, an IB World School in Hong Kong and Deputy Principal at

Waikato Diocesan School for Girls in New Zealand. She is an

educator of over twenty years in Science and Biology. Noeline is an

advocate for ‘Restorative Practice’, building trust and strengthening

relationships to improve student outcomes.

Biography

Steve, who previously served as IB Diploma Coordinator at Branksome

Hall Asia, has worked the past 15 years at international schools

in Korea and China. He previously has held numerous leadership positions,

including Department Head, IB DP coordinator, and Assistant Principal.

He hold a Master of Arts in US History from Bringham Young

University in Utah.

Biography

John is an experienced international educator who taught and

served in varied leadership roles both in Europe and in Asia

John has 17 years of experience within the IB program. He is

passionate about scienceand education and looks forward to

guiding our students and faculty in achieving academic

success and continued intellectual growth.

Leader Visitor and an ESL in Mainstream trainer. Virginia holds a

Jay is an experienced Marketer who worked for

individual who exemplifies professionalism, and an ability

to manage multiple projects and tasks at any given moment.

Biography

Terry joined Branksome Hall Asia in 2016 after spending 3 years

at NLCS Jeju as the Head of Computer Science. Prior to living in

Korea, Terry was Curricuum Leader for Mathematics and ICT at

the British International School Riyadh. Terry is an exam paper

author, principal examiner, and extended essay examiner for the
IB Diploma Computer Science qualification.

Amy Ivany is an experienced Primary/Elementary teacher from
Newfoundland, Canada. She worked in public, independent,

Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from

Gervais joined BHA in 2016 after teaching and administrating

sports in different IB schools. He has more than 20 years in

Marie brings more than 25 years of experience in teaching and

Alies joins us from the Netherlands where she graduated from

Stenden University with a Bachelor of Education in the special

track of International Teacher Education for Primary Schools (ITEps).

During her studies, Alies specialised in Mathematics and Intercultural

Understanding and Religion in primary schools (IUR). Alies studied

abroad in Norway for a semester. She also gained valuable teaching

experience across all primary grades in international schools in various

countries, including Slovenia, England and the Netherlands. Having

worked in many international schools she has worked extensively

with EAL students.

Emily joins us from Vancouver, Canada where she graduated from

practicum at an Independent school in Vancouver and a public

school in Zurich, Switzerland. Emily also has a TESOL certificate

from the Canadian College of Linguistics. She has taught in various

English Academies in Korea and is an experienced ELL teacher.

Biography

Sooyun is in her fifth year at Branksome Hall Asia. Prior to joining

Branksome Hall, she spent two years in Early Childhood Education

in both the public and private sectors on Jeju Island. She earned a

certificate in Early Childhood Education through English as a Second

Language from the college of Education at Jeju National University.

She has taught English and computer science in various kindergartens

and an elementary school in Jeju.

Biography

Seunghee Jin is in her 6th year at Branksome Hall Asia. She

has experience working with students across JK to Grade 6 in

Junior School. She worked at a language school in Toronto

for Children Certificate from American TESOL Institute and TEYC

Biography

Paula has 24 years teaching experience from the US, South Korea,

Austria, Indonesia and Germany. She has taught in the MYP/DP

and AP, and held leadership roles including Curriculum Director,

Director of Summer School, Head of Department, and Principal.

Previously she served as IB Coordinator at Chadwick

International in Korea and Amadeus International in Vienna.

She holds masters degrees from Yale University, an M.Ed. from

Bridgewater State University, and a doctoral degree from the

University of Cincinnati.

Ray was the former Deputy Principal of St John's College,

for MYP Language and Literature. Ray is an IB Examiner in

HL Language and Literature. He has a passion for foreign

languages especially those from the European and Asian

from Glasgow University and a Post Graduate Certification in

Education from Jordanhill College of Education. She is an

Bianca joins us from Sunshine College, Melbourne Australia,

expertise in the coordination of literacy programs with a focus

on EAL and pastoral care in the senior years.

towards a Ph.D in Media and Communications (UK). Prior to

joining Branksome Hall Asia, he held the position of IB/AP English

Vietnam. She is most passionate about helping students

Prior to coming to BHA in 2015, Jean held numerous positions,

Literature, Language B and Theatre Arts, as well as a deep

passion for her vocation and the students she teaches. She holds

Faye is an expert Chinese language and literature teacher

University of Melbourne. Faye receives her B.A. from China,
