Our Boarding Program provides students with a home away from home.
At Branksome Hall Asia, we understand the importance of providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our students, especially those who are far from home. Our comprehensive boarding program offers a true home away from home experience.
Available for girls in grades 6-12 and now open to boys grades 6-8, our program is designed to provide a safe and enriching environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally. From cozy dormitories to engaging extracurricular activities, we prioritize creating a sense of community and belonging for every boarding student.
Our dedicated Boarding Faculty is comprised of professional and caring adults who are experienced in areas of Boarding Life, growth, development, and academic subjects. Teacher Dons and Heads of House reside on campus throughout the school year when on duty, ensuring attentive care and fostering a strong sense of community.
Benefits of our program include:
- Students have access to teachers on weekends and use of school facilities, including the fitness center, ice rink, and swimming pool.
- Drop-in sessions with counselors, teachers, and academic support staff assist students throughout the year.
- Family Dons nurture and care for a small 'Family' of students, with a ratio of 1 to 10.
- The Boarding Program offers leadership opportunities such as the Council, where students come together once a week and discuss Boarding Life.
"I particularly enjoy participating in various Friday activities, which serve as a fascinating experience during my time in boarding. I look forward to engaging in lots of additional activities on weekdays and weekends, including Friday events, SunDayFunDay (SDFD), open skate, gym, etc." - Hyoyeon, Grade 9 Student
Admissions Process
International students follow the same admissions process as local students. Consultations and support are provided in English, Chinese, and Korean. Assessments and interviews can be arranged online for overseas families.
In order to celebrate cultural diversity, academic achievements, and leadership, Branksome Hall Asia provides an opportunity for a partially funded, merit-based scholarship for international applicants. The scholarship is open to any student not holding Korean citizenship/nationality and is applying for grades 6-11.
Students awarded the scholarship will qualify for a reduction of 30% of the tuition and boarding fees (excluding meals). There is an application and selection process required to qualify.
After acceptance, the school will guide the family through the visa process. Most families can complete the whole process without the help of an agency.
This is the suggested admissions process timeline:
- October – December: Complete the online application and scholarship application (if applicable);
- December – March: Assessments, interviews, scholarship selection;
- Following March: Admissions decision & scholarship decision;
- Following April – Visa and travel preparations;
