Admissions Process

2026–27 Academic Year Regular Admissions

Applications for the 2026–27 academic year are now open. Prospective families are encouraged to apply early, as spaces are limited and interviews and assessments will be scheduled on a rolling basis. Please note that admissions may close earlier depending on applicant volume.

Key Dates

• School Start Date: August 4, 2026
• Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis.  Applications must be submitted at least five (5) business days prior to

  the scheduled assessment dates.

• Entrance Assessments:
  • May 23, 2026 (Seoul): JK Prep - Grade 1 / Grades 2 - 5 / Grades 6 - 11
  • April 24 - May 29, 2026 (Jeju) Assessments in Jeju available upon request for all grade levels
  • For applicants residing overseas, please contact the Admissions Office for information regarding online
  • Assessment booking is on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Eligibility

• Girls are eligible to apply to Junior Kindergarten Prep to grade 11. 
• Boys are eligible to apply to Junior Kindergarten Prep to grade 10. 
• Applicants will be notified of their admissions status via email within two weeks of the assessment date,
  provided all components of the admissions requirements and assessment have been completed.

Please Note:

• In addition to the dates above, admissions assessments are also available throughout March and April in Jeju. Please contact the Admissions Office to schedule an assessment.
• Assessment schedules are subject to change based on applicant volume.
• The Admissions Office will contact you to remind you of each step in the process.
• The application fee is non-refundable.

2025-2026 Academic Year & 2026-2027 Academic Year
The age chart is applicable for applicants holding a Korean passport. For international applicants or applicants transferring from an international school, we consider the educational history of the applicant. Please consult us at: admissions@branksome.asia

All students will be thoughtfully assessed to ensure that Branksome Hall Asia is the right environment for them to learn, grow, and thrive. Our goal is to provide a positive experience for every child.

We require that the application is submitted at least one week before the selected Assessment Day. Please note, Assessment Days are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

*Additional admission test dates may be arranged in response to application demand.

*Applicants residing overseas can take the assessment and interview online. The online assessment will be scheduled individually following the submission of the application and guidance from the admissions office. 
 

What to expect on the assessment date:

Entering Grades Junior Kindergarten Prep - Grade 1

• Small group activities and observation
   

Entering Grades Grade 2 - Grade 5

• MAP Math (Grades 2 - 5)
• MAP English reading (Grades 3 - 5)
• English Writing
• Small group activity / English Interview
   

Entering Grades Grade 6 - Grade 11

• MAP test: math
• Duolingo English Scores (to be submitted in advance)
• 1:1 English interview 
• Boarding only: additional interview with boarding faculty (as necessary)
• Korean & Chinese  applicants only: Korean or Chinese essay writing 

Once an applicant has completed the assessment process and remitted all required documents, parents or guardians will be notified of the final admissions decision. We strive to do this within three weeks of completion. Please note that all decisions are made by the admissions committee and take into account the entirety of the applicant's admissions profile. 

ACCEPTANCE
If an applicant is accepted, parents or guardians  will receive a formal letter of acceptance (via email), shortly following acceptance an invoice for the registration deposit will be sent. The registration deposit must be paid by the  due date stated on the invoice. Failure to meet the payment due date may result in forfeiture of the enrollment offer.

WAIT POOL
There are limited spaces available each academic year. Admissible applicants may not be eligible for immediate enrollment and will be placed in the wait pool.  Parents or guardians will be notified if an opening becomes available for the applicant. 

Please note that applicants in the wait pool DO NOT carry over to the next school year. Applicants who are on the waitlist will be notified when they can reapply for the next school year. It is important to note that if an applicant is waitlisted, parents or guardians should explore other educational alternatives in case a space does not become available.

DENIED
If an applicant is not offered admission, it is because the Admissions Committee has determined that, at this time, our school may not be the best fit for the student’s success. While we understand this may be disappointing, please note that the specific reasons for the committee’s decision cannot be shared. However, applicants are welcome to reapply for the following school year.

Enrollment agreements will be sent after acceptance letters are issued. The signed enrollment agreement, along with a non-refundable deposit of KRW 3,000,000, is due within two weeks of receiving the agreement. The first tuition payment is due in May, followed by the second payment in October.
