Biography

Originally from Vancouver, Canada Beverley worked in national and

international schools in Korea, Canada, the United States, and

Germany. As a learner, teacher, adjunct professor and school

adminisrator she remains committed to enhance learners strengths,

instilling in a love of life-long learning and the desire to meet and

exceeed personal and acadaemic expectations. She holds a Doctor

of Education in Educational Administration, Training and Policy

Studies Boston University, a Masters in Educational Administration

from Oxford Brooks University, Oxford England and a Bachelor of

Education specializing in education, geography and kinesiology.











Young, Noeline

Deputy Principal

Biography

Noeline is a foundation faculty member of Branksome Hall Asia and

was previously Head of Residence and Head of Student Affairs.

She also held leadership positions as Vice Principal of Discovery

College, an IB World School in Hong Kong and Deputy Principal at

Waikato Diocesan School for Girls in New Zealand. She is an

educator of over twenty years in Science and Biology. Noeline is an

advocate for ‘Restorative Practice’, building trust and strengthening

relationships to improve student outcomes.











Lock, Cinde

Biography

Cinde is the Head of Senior School at Branksome Hall Asia.

She has been a teacher and administrator in Canada, and in

International Schools in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt,

Trinidad and Tobago, and Korea.She has extensive knowledge

of the IB and has served as both MYP and DP coordinator.With

28 years of experience in education, Cinde remains passionate

about students and their learning.











Gasparini, John

Biography

John is an experienced international educator who taught and

servedin varied leadership roles both in Europe and in Asia

John has 17 years of experience within the IB program. He is

passionate about scienceand education and looks forward to

guiding our students and faculty in achieving academic

success and continued intellectual growth.

Susan is the Head of Junior School at Branksome Hall Asia.
She is an experienced educator who has held senior positions

Bahamas. Susan holds a Master of Science degree from the

Biography

Virginia joins us from the International School of London, Qatar,

where she served as the Head of Primary School. Virginia held

in Japan, England and Australia. She is an IB consultant, IB Team

Leader Visitor and an ESL in Mainstream trainer. Virginia holds a

Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University

Kate is the Director of Admissions at Branksome Hall

Jay is an experienced Marketer who worked for

Multinational companies as well as Korean companies

before joining Branksome Hall asia. As a founding member

and the first Marketing Director of the school, her goal is

remarkable IB World School and its stance in the global

stage.

Rob has a history of leading in both the private and

education sector as a business manager. He has

managing experience in large teams in a service and

educational environment. He has previously worked in

the education sector in Australia prior to joining

Branksome Hall. Rob is a detail-oriented and organized

individual who exemplifies professionalism, and an ability

to manage multiple projects and tasks at any given moment.

Rebecca is an Australian teacher with experience working

in Education fields in Irealnd, Kosovo and Australia. Over

the past ten years, she worked with children from ages

coordinator in Kosovo, Education trainer in Irealand and

more recently, working on a National Mathematics

Research Project in Australia.

Amy Ivany is an experienced Primary/Elementary teacher from
Newfoundland, Canada. She worked in public, independent,

She perviously worked in Canada and China as a Primary Years
educator, and in South Korea as an Early Years educator.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from
Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has a keen interest
in play-based learning and development of the whole child.

Karanne served as an educator with a focus in primary

Heidi is a foundation member of staff at BHA, with

maths teacher in the MS in New Zealand.

began as a Fulbright English Teaching Fellow at Kalmykia State

University in Elista, Russia. Cameron is passionate about making

technology accessible to all students and integrating it into daily

Antonia holds her Bachelor's of Education with Honours

Education in Rep. of Korea. She has a keen interest in Korean

literacy and the special education for the gifted learner.

Meghan comes to us from Virginia in the USA. She has 6 years

Misuk is an experienced IB Korean Teacher. She joins us from the

certificate from Minister of education in Korea.











Lau, Angela

Rachel is in her second year at Branksome Hall Asia. She

came to BHA by way of Kuwait City and Minneapolis,

Education Teacher. Rachel holds a Masters degree in

Special Education earning licenses in both Emotional

Behavioral Disorders and Learning Disabilities and a

Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.

Biography

Gervais joined BHA in 2016 after teaching and administrating

sports in different IB schools. He has more than 20 years in

teaching and coached various youth and elite teams. He holds

Loughborough University, UK. He is an IB PHE MYP Moderator

Analin returns to Grade 3 as a Teacher Intern after completing

the teaching profession after spending 5 years focusing on
peer-to-peer microfinance and women's empowerment
initiatives in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and West Africa.

Biography

Betsy is a graduate from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education

at the University of Toronto. She has obtained Teaching English

in various elementary grades and have worked alongside students of a

wide range of abilities. She completed her teaching practicum in a

Grade 1/2 and a Grade 4/5 class.

Biography

Alies joins us from the Netherlands where she graduated from

Stenden University with a Bachelor of Education in the special

track of International Teacher Education for Primary Schools (ITEps).

During her studies, Alies specialised in Mathematics and Intercultural

Understanding and Religion in primary schools (IUR). Alies studied

abroad in Norway for a semester. She also gained valuable teaching

experience across all primary grades in international schools in various

countries, including Slovenia, England and the Netherlands. Having

worked in many international schools she has worked extensively

with EAL students.

Biography

Ami Kim worked as an elementary ESL teacher for a year at Gyonggi

Suwon International School and as a part-time substitute at Seoul

Foreign School (K-Grade 5) and Seoul International School (Middle/

High School). She completed her kindergarten 1 AQ course this

summer from Queen's University. While she was a graduate student

at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, her major focus of

interests was Bilingual Literacty Teaching and Learning.

Her teaching practicum took place in Limestone school district in

Kingston where she worked in senior kindergarten, Grade 1 and

2 combined, special education, and ELL classes.

Biography

Robert has had a distinguished career as an educator and

musician. He has taught in several well-respected and

established prestigious schools. He is an advocate for

listening, pastoral care and restorative practises, and is

he currently undertaking educational research in the area

of student voice and curriculum design. He is an avid

sportsman and is a qualified as ski instructor, ski patroller,

surf lifesaver, and international rugby official. He enjoys golf,

photography, alpine skiing and travelling. He looks forward

to exploring Jeju and the rest of Korea on his motorbike with

his wife, and he has an immense love for his family. He is

currently enjoying learning Korean and the culture of his

newly adopted land. At BHA he treats everyone with respect

as if they were part of his extended family.

Biography

Faye is an expert Chinese language and literature teacher

with over 25 years of teaching experience. Prior to joining

BHA, Faye taught students ranging from Prep to Year 12 in

Australia, China, Singapore and Malaysia.Faye also served

as a lecturer in language teaching methodology at the

University of Melbourne. Faye receives her B.A. from China,

her Graduate Diploma in Education and her Master of

Education from Australia. Faye’s to-be-completed Ph.D.

research focuses on Chinese Literature Education.

Biography

Jungsook taught MYP, DP Korean Language and Literature

and MYP Korean Acquision in Global Jaya International

School in Jakarta, Indonesia before joining Branksome Hall

Asia in 2015. Jungsook worked as an IB Examiner for DP

and MYP Korean Language and Literature and works as

the Principal Examiner for DP Korean Language and

Literature. She has a passion for teaching literature in the

classroom and learning languages.

Rachel(Ruijuan) is a Middle Years Programme Mandarin

Teacher. She joined BHA in 2016. Shehad worked as a

Mandarin Teacherfor more than 10 years both in Beijing,

Tianjin, Shanghai and Jakarta, Indonesia , ranging from

Pre to K12. Prior to joining BHA, Rachel has taught IGCSE

and DP Chinese A and B in Dulwich Colleage Shanghai.

Biography

Aidan has been teaching Design Technology and Visual

Art for over a decade, at international schools and

Master in Applied Linquistics from USQ, and teaching

qualifications from OISE, University of Toronto. He comes

to us from Branksome Hall Canada, where he taught MYP

Art and Design.

Biography

Michael received his Master of Education and Bachelor of

Education from the University of Victoria in Canada. He

also holds an MYP IT Level II Certificate as well as a Master

He brings well over 20 years of teaching experience including

fine arts and IB music while more recently focusing on ICT

education as a Technology Integration Specialist and

Technology Director.

Biography

Gwyneth is in her fifth year at Branksome Hall Asia, and

her fourth as a Design teacher for the MYP. She is a

graduate of the IB Diploma program herself, which led

her to work at her former high school in Special Education

as well as interning abroad in Hungary at an IB world school

before arriving to Korea. She also serves as the Grade 8

level Coordinator. Gwyneth has also completed an EAL in

the mainstream classroom teacher certificate in the past year.

Mark comes from Scotland, the country of tartan and clans.

golf and watching Celtic, his favourite football team,

Hyoseon has been teaching Korean History and Korean

experience as Diploma Coordinator.He holds undergraduate

and performed in over 70 operas and musicals and is also

including the Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys and has a

keen interest in Film and Television production. He is a

Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival

(KCACTF) Region VII Festival XLV Meritorious Award

recipient as a Playwright for his play American Victory.

Karlee is originally from California, and moved to Jeju after spending

the last six years living in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of

Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the Silberman School

of Social Work at Hunter College. Her MSW specializes in Clinical

Social Work with Individuals, Families, and Groups, with an

emphasis in Global Social Work. Her previous experience includes

family counseling, and individual/group counseling with children

Biography

Julia is originally from Colorado. She attended university in

Chicago, Illinois and studied Medical Anthropology, with a

speciality in Public Health. She first moved to Jeju in 2014

and returned in Spring of 2017 after traveling. Julia has

practiced yoga since she was 15 and became a certified

instructor during her final year of university. She hopes to

empower the girls at BHA through yoga, mindfulness,

healthy living, and fitness.

Biography

Nicole is a new teacher from Canada, coming to BHA in the role

of Residence Teacher Don. Having recently achieved a Master's

of Teaching from the University of Toronto (OISE) Nicole hopes

to share her love of literature, writing and learning with the girls

at BHA. During her time at OISE Nicole focused her curriculum

studies on English and Humanities at the grade 7-12 level. She

previously obtained an honours double major in Sociology, and

English Language and Literature from the University of Western

Ontario.











Rynne, Tegan

Biography

Tegan has a Bachelor of Fine Art, majoring in jewellery and

small objects from the Queensland College of Art- Griffith.

Tegan also has a Graduate Diploma of Education, specialising

in Secondary Visual Arts teaching from the Australian Catholic

University. Tegan is from Australia and has previously worked

as a casual teacher in Sydney Australia. Tegan has come to

Branksome Hall Asia this year with the hope to inspire the

students of BHA with a fresh outlook on education and learning

both inside and outside of the classroom.











Nankervis, Kate

Biography

Kate is from Somerset in the South West of the England and

joins Branksome Hall Asia as a Residence Don. She graduated

from Oxford University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Arts in

English Literature and Language, and will be sharing her passion

for literature, reading and writing with the students. After graduating,

Kate worked in travel and publishing and spent some time travelling

through Africa and parts of Europe.











Yun, Seulki

Biography

Seulki joined Branksome Hall Asia in 2016 and has returned

as Teacher Don. She has a diverse background studying in

Korea, Canada and Norway. She holds a bachelor of Arts and

Business at University of Dongguk. She has worked with

students to teach music and English as a tutor for 2 years. She

is very excited to support girls’ academic and social growth to

help them grow to become global citizens.

Biography

Selina is a teacher from Toronto, Canada who joined BHA this

year fresh from university as a Teacher in Residence. She was

involved in multiple University clubs and was Executive for 3

years for UTM Anime in the University of Toronto. She holds an

Honours Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Geography

and a Bachelors of Education with Intermediate and Senior

qualitifications both fromUniversity of Toronto. She is excited to

be a goodrole-model for the girls and encourage students to be

more involved and interested in STEM.

Biography

Veronica is a new teacher from Canada, excited to join BHA

as a Residence Don! She hopes to inspire and empower girls

through mathematics, science, and extracurricular activities.

Besides classroom teaching and running afterschool programs,

Veronica also has a lot of experience in science engagement

from work at the Ontario Science Centre. She holds a Honours

Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Statistics with a Minor in

Biology, and a Bachelor of Education with Intermediate and

Biography

Elizabeth joined Branksome Hall Asia in 2014 as a K-12 Learning Technologies

Teacher, and has been teaching in IB schools for 13 years. She previously was

the Junior School Learning Technologies teacher at Munich International

School, and prior to that taught Information and Electronic Technology at

UWCSEA in Singapore, and at the American School of Milan. 2 Summers ago

she applied and was accepted to the class of 2015 Apple Distinguished Educators.

She holds Bachelors Degrees in Art and French from the University of Virginia.

Yoona Kim is a foundation member of Branksome hall Asia .

meditatoin and yogaand she is very passionate about

developing student well being programs which will blossom

Terry joined Branksome Hall Asia in 2016 after spending 3 years

at NLCS Jeju as the Head of Computer Science. Prior to living in

Korea, Terry was Curricuum Leader for Mathematics and ICT at

the British International School Riyadh. Terry is an exam paper

author, reviewer, and examiner for the IB Diploma Computer

Science qualification. Terry is in his fifth and final year of a

Doctorate in Education with his thesis focusing on computer

programming for girls.

Virginia joined Branksome Hall Asia following 3 years at the

International School of Tianjin, China where she was Director

Long Trail School USA. She earned her Master of Library

International in Korea and Amadeus International in Vienna.
